General Cancer information for Ethnic Minorities EMHF

On Wednesday 26th September Ethnic Minority Health Forum hosted Ms Rosemary Scott, a Health Promotion Officer from Irish Cancer Society, who gave a comprehensive overview of ICS goals, activities and services including the helpline  – 1800 200 700 where people affected by cancer can talk with a qualified nurse, Care to Drive Programme, counselling support and CHEP programme.

Issues related to accessing cervical check programme and availability of interpreters to support people with difficult is communicating in English were raised.
